Seachtain na Gaeilge i gContae na hIar Mhí

Seachtain na Gaeilge, which runs from March 5 to 17, is a celebration of Irish language, culture, and heritage. It offers the chance for people to practice their cúpla focail, to celebrate ‘leabhar power’ by reading books as Gaeilge, or even to try a language course. Westmeath Libraries are proud to support Seachtain na Gaeilge with a wide range of events.

Official opening of Moate library

Moate library was officially opened yesterday by the Chairman of Westmeath County Council, Cllr Joe Whelan. After many years in the Courthouse, in less than suitable conditions, the library has now been relocated to bright new fully accessible premises on the Main Street in Moate.
